The Bard Is In Bell Buckle
Now in its third year, the Tennessee Shakespeare Festival brings the Bard to the middle Tennessee community of Bell Buckle (population, 391), previously renowned as the home of the Webb School, the Moon Pie and RC Cola Festivals.
Performance is just one part of the Festival's presence. With the support and encouragement of the Webb School, the festival offers a theatrical apprenticeship program, internships, and an on campus theatre camp designed to stimulate students' interest in theatre, theatre craft, and literature.

Through its programs and by attracting several thousand visitors to Bell Buckle each summer, the Festival fulfills its three fold mission to:
- provide opportunities to new and established artists working in the field of classic and contemporary theatre;
- provide educational programs and activities that encourage public awareness, participation and appreciation of the dramatic arts; and
- serve as a catalyst for small city revitalization via the arts.

| Two Gentlemen of Verona - - As You've Never Seen It Before
As befits the Festival venue, this summer's production of Two Gentlement of Verona is set not in Verona, Italy, but in Verona, Tennessee, circa 1960. The two gentlemen, Valentine and Proteus, are up-and-coming country and western singers, who make the move to a Milan that bears an odd resemblance to a well-know music capital of the South...
The Festival runs from June 18th to July 11th. Tickets are available through the Festival website, from Tickets Nashville, or (usually) at the venue.
Pack a picnic and relax on the beautiful grounds of the Webb School.
Don't forget your Moon Pie and your RC Cola! (Does anyone else remember Big Bill Lister and this song?)
