"Fat" Cacti - The Ultimate Xeric Plants

Whether native to your area or not, "fat" cacti adapt well to your environment.  Unlike many other cactus and succulent species, the fat cacti tolerate cold - though not indefinitely.

Fat cacti seem to thrive on neglect. The most common problem? People love their fat cacti too much - we kill them with kindness by overwatering them.

This collection features "Fat Cactus" from several families:

-- Ferrocactus - With their wide, flat, fish-hook ("nose-catcher") spines
-- Notocactus - Ferrocactus' furry cousin
-- Thelocactus - A happy (if somewhat prickley) medium
